While roaming the streets of Rome, I saw this at a shop.. would you buy this or try it? It's black bread and chicken sandwitch.. but I have never seen it this black before..
Any ideas how they got the bread to turn this color?

i have seen it before in malaysia and i asked about it, they use black charcoal i know it is weird but they use it a lot in their food i have tried a black charcoal tart once it was not bad :)

squid ink, salivating over the Tartare.
Squid ink most probably. That's what they use to make black pasta as well.
I can't take the taste of squid ink as it is on a pasta.. Imagine it on a chicken sandwich..
What about black food coloring?
